SHOWBIZ DUO: Stephen and Mel have split

In legal documents filed by the singer's lawyers to get a US court to grant a restraining order against the producer, Mel claims Lorraine Gilles was involved in a romantic relationship with her husband for over six years.

According to the legal document in 2010 Stephen hired Lorraine as the couple's nanny, who at the time was an exchange student from a small town in Germany.

In the document known as a declaration, Mel references her as "some 20 years old and was quite beautiful".

She claims: "Stephen would degrade me in front of her by comparing me to Lorraine telling me how much younger and better looking she was.

"I later discovered that Stephen was having sex with Lorraine and was paying her inordinate amounts of money."

Mel claims the nanny was paid over $300,000 (£240k).

"In late April or early May 2014 Stephen and the 'nanny' Lorraine, told me that Lorraine was pregnant with Stephen's child," the star continues.

"He told me that he wanted her to have the baby and all three of us live together.

"I was shocked and in disbelief.

"Stephen later demanded that Lorraine have an abortion."

Mel claims that upon hearing the __news Stephen "went ballistic".

"He screamed and yelled at me for some three straight hours," she writes in the legal document.

"He told me that Lorraine raised our children far better than I ever could.
